SHREVEPORT, La — A Shreveport man killed when he was struck by a car as he bicycled in Cedar Grove late Monday, July 22, 2024, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office.
Cornell Brown, 67, was struck by the car, which did not stop, just after 9 p.m. in the 200 block of West 70th Street. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 9:04 p.m.
Mr. Brown was positively identified through fingerprint comparison.

The incident remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department, to which media inquiries and citizen tips should be directed.
An autopsy was ordered.
