SHREVEPORT, La — A Shreveport woman has been arrested following a home invasion and child cruelty incident on Randolph Street, according to the Shreveport Police Department.
The incident unfolded after officers responded to reports of a missing child. Upon arrival, they encountered 29-year-old Kenyana Fuggins, who was at the center of the investigation. Authorities discovered that the child had run away, seeking refuge at a neighbor’s house, allegedly due to physical abuse at home.

Witnesses reported that Fuggins forcibly entered the neighboring home and assaulted the child in front of the residents. Based on witness accounts and the child’s injuries, police arrested Fuggins.
Fuggins now faces charges of home invasion and cruelty to a juvenile. The Shreveport Police Department emphasized the importance of reasonable discipline for children and reminded parents that punishment must not involve physical harm.
