Shreveport, LA – A wanted fugitive was taken into custody Monday evening after leading Shreveport Police on a dangerous foot chase across Interstate 20.

On January 28, 2025, at approximately 5:24 p.m., officers responded to a call about a suspicious person at 4245 Barbara Avenue.
Upon arrival, they encountered two individuals engaged in a verbal dispute. One of the individuals, Damien Clark, was recognized as a fugitive with multiple outstanding warrants.
When officers attempted to detain Clark, he fled on foot, sprinting through residential backyards and crossing all six lanes of Interstate 20. He then scaled a barbed-wire fence and entered backyards along Thurgood Circle.
Police quickly set up a perimeter and located Clark, but he again attempted to flee despite verbal commands to surrender. Officers deployed a taser, but Clark continued running. As additional officers arrived, Clark attempted to re-enter the interstate. While officers managed to gain control of him, he actively resisted arrest, striking officers with his elbow in an attempt to escape.
Clark was eventually subdued, handcuffed, and taken into custody. He was treated at the scene by the Shreveport Fire Department before being transported to LSU Ochsner for further evaluation.
Investigators determined that prior to the chase, Clark had entered the home of the other individual involved in the dispute without permission.
As a result, he was charged with Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling. In addition, he was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including:
• Resisting an Officer
• Aggravated Flight
• Theft of a Motor Vehicle
• Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Clark was booked into the Shreveport City Jail, where he now faces additional charges.
