A Vivian man is behind bars following his arrest on charges related to domestic violence and a probation violation, according to Caddo Parish authorities.
Michael Gray Glasscock, 58, was taken into custody on Thursday, July 17, 2025, and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center at approximately 8:31 p.m. He faces two charges: battery of a dating partner and a parish probation violation. As of Friday morning, he remains in custody without bond, which is standard procedure in cases involving violent offenses.

The charge of battery of a dating partner falls under Louisiana’s domestic abuse laws, which aim to protect individuals in intimate or romantic relationships from physical harm and repeated abuse. Authorities have not yet released details surrounding the incident that led to Glasscock’s arrest, but the nature of the charges indicates a serious offense.
The probation violation suggests that Glasscock was already under court supervision for a previous offense and failed to comply with the terms of that probation. Violations can include anything from failing to report to a probation officer to committing another crime while on probation — which appears to be the case here.
Under Louisiana law, individuals charged with domestic violence are typically held without bond until a judge can determine the appropriate course of action. This often includes evaluating the threat the individual may pose to the alleged victim or the community at large.
Caddo Parish law enforcement officials have not confirmed whether the victim in this case required medical treatment or if additional charges could be filed. The case remains under investigation.
