SHREVEPORT, La — On Monday, July 29, 2024, a tense hostage situation unfolded in Shreveport, Louisiana, leading to the hospitalization of two police officers and a female victim.
The incident began at approximately 11:26 a.m. when the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) responded to a welfare concern on the 5200 block of Financial Plaza.
The call for help came from a female victim, who reported that she was being held against her will in a room on the third floor of the Extended Stay Suites, located at the intersection of Financial Plaza and Dixie Boulevard.
