Shreveport, La — On March 4, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a joint operation involving the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office, the Shreveport Police Department’s Warrant Unit, and the Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) led to the execution of a search warrant at 544 E. 74th Street.
The warrant was obtained following information from the Caddo Parish Juvenile Services Officer, who reported the presence of firearms and narcotics at the location.

During the operation, officers detained three individuals and recovered a firearm equipped with an automatic conversion device, commonly referred to as a “switch,” as well as 80 grams of marijuana.
As a result, two individuals were arrested:

• Jaxson Furr (DOB: 04/13/2004) was charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and simple escape. While being escorted outside during heavy rain and flooding conditions, Furr attempted to flee, entering a residence at 532 E. 73rd Street.
VCAT officers quickly surrounded the home, and Furr surrendered without further incident.

• Clade Byrd (DOB: 01/26/2005) was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Both suspects were booked into jail, and the investigation remains ongoing.
