Caddo Parish, LA – Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal train crash that occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, July 28, in South Caddo Parish.
According to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr., the incident took place shortly after 4:00 a.m. on the railroad tracks along Norris Ferry Road, just south of Overton Brooks Road outside Shreveport.
Witnesses reported seeing a man on the tracks as a train approached. Despite attempts to stop, the train was unable to avoid a collision, resulting in the pedestrian’s death.

The case remains under investigation, and the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
