BASTROP, LA -– The Bastrop Police Department (BPD) has confirmed the heartbreaking finding of an body in a wooded area close to Daisy Street and Vesta Street.
BPD tells Louisiana Breaking News that after receiving a report from the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office around 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 indicating the discovery of human remains, BPD swiftly responded to secure and process the scene.
The body has been transported for a thorough autopsy to determine the cause of death.
