Shreveport, LA – Three individuals were arrested late Saturday night after Shreveport Police officers discovered stolen firearms during a traffic stop in the Downtown District.

On January 18, 2025, at approximately 10:42 PM, officers conducting a Tactical Patrol observed a silver 2013 Nissan Maxima traveling at a high rate of speed above the posted 25 MPH limit. The vehicle also lacked a visible license plate, prompting officers to initiate a traffic stop at 143 Clyde Fant Parkway.
The driver, identified as Al Myles III, was accompanied by Zkary Peterson in the front passenger seat and Jaravin Green in the rear. Myles denied the presence of any weapons in the vehicle, but officers noticed suspicious behavior and detected the odor of marijuana. A K-9 Unit was called to assist.
During the search, K-9 Edy alerted officers to the presence of firearms. A subsequent inspection uncovered two stolen firearms hidden under the front passenger seat, along with a drum magazine. Another magazine was found inside a black backpack on the front passenger floorboard.
Arrests and Charges:

• Al Myles III: Possession of a stolen firearm; issued citation #10010807 for speeding, fictitious MVI, fake temporary tag, and no insurance.

• Zkary Peterson: Possession of a stolen firearm.

• Jaravin Green: Possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a person under 18.
The suspect vehicle was impounded by Kenny’s Towing due to lack of insurance and transported to central storage. All evidence was properly seized and secured.
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to public safety and the removal of illegal firearms from the community.
