CADDO PARISH, La. — A high-speed pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended dramatically late Saturday night when a 17-year-old suspect was tased and arrested after fleeing from law enforcement in Vivian.

The chase began around 10:30 p.m. on May 31, when the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Plain Dealing Police Department initiated a pursuit of a stolen Chrysler 300 on LA Highway 2. Authorities called off the chase after the vehicle entered Caddo Parish.
Shortly afterward, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Lt. Gray spotted the vehicle near Centerville Road and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to comply, leading deputies into the city limits of Vivian, where the Vivian Police Department joined the pursuit.

The suspect, later identified as Nicholas Bush, 17, jumped from the moving vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Vivian officers quickly caught up with him and used a Taser to bring him into custody. A subsequent search revealed Bush was in possession of a handgun, ammunition, and a THC vape pen.
Bush was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on multiple charges, including aggravated flight from an officer, possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and resisting arrest.
