SHREVEPORT, La. — The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the teenage girl who was fatally shot inside a North Market Street Vape Shop Business early Sunday morning, July 27, 2025.
Hailey McDonald, 16, was inside a business in the 1700 block of North Market Street when she was struck by gunfire from outside the business. Emergency responders rushed her to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where she died from her injuries at 1:48 a.m.
Her death marks the 22nd confirmed homicide in the city of Shreveport this year. Caddo Parish has reported a total of 28 homicides in 2025 to date.
An autopsy has been conducted, and the Shreveport Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
