Shreveport, La — The Shreveport Police have arrested a man today in connection with a violent home invasion that occurred on November 24, 2024, in the 2800 block of Gloria Drive.
On November 24th Officers responded to reports of an armed individual during the incident and found a female victim bleeding from the mouth, with the residence showing extensive damage.
Investigators determined that the suspect, Jacoby Kinsey, forced his way into the home by knocking down the complainant. During the attack, Kinsey reportedly threw a child’s toy through a front window, causing further property damage.
Authorities say Kinsey also threatened multiple individuals at the home with a firearm before fleeing the scene. Despite an immediate search, Kinsey remained at large for several weeks.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, charging him with:
• One count of Home Invasion
• Multiple counts of Child Endangerment
• Property Damage
Today, January 13, 2025, Kinsey was taken into custody by the Shreveport Police Department’s Warrants Unit, with support from the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office.
