Shreveport, LA – On Monday, February 17, 2025 a stolen UPS truck led to a police pursuit, ending in a crash and the suspect’s arrest.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, officers responded at 4:50 a.m. to the UPS facility at Jim Casey Boulevard and Kings Highway following reports of a stolen delivery truck. The suspect fled, striking two police vehicles before crashing on I-49 near Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
Shreveport Police Public Information Officer Cpl. Chris Bordelon stated that there appeared to be boxes containing gun parts and pharmaceuticals inside the truck.
The SPD Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) is currently offloading the vehicle to conduct a full inventory.
No injuries have been reported.
