SHREVEPORT, La. – Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s White Collar Crimes Unit are searching for 33-year-old Tashiuntay Miles, who is wanted in connection with a $60,000 bank fraud scheme.

The investigation began on January 8, 2025, when Legacy National Bank reported a fraudulent transaction. Detectives discovered that on August 29, 2024, Miles deposited a check for $61,611.31 at a Carter Federal Credit Union ATM. Days later, on September 6, she allegedly withdrew $60,000 in cashier’s checks from the credit union’s Bert Kouns branch.
Authorities say the check was originally made payable to Mayekawa U.S.A. and drawn on a Legacy National Bank account under George Foods, LLC. It was later flagged as fraudulent. Investigators determined Miles had no authorization to cash the check, which they say was manufactured with her personal address and signature.
Surveillance footage confirmed Miles’ identity, and her photo ID was cross-referenced through the Louisiana Fusion Center.
On February 5, 2025, an arrest warrant was issued for Miles on one count of Bank Fraud (LA R.S. 14:71.1).
Shreveport Police urge anyone with information on her whereabouts to call (318) 673-7300 or contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
