Shreveport, LA – A woman was taken into custody on Tuesday evening following a gunfire incident stemming from a family dispute.
On September 17, 2024, at approximately 9:00 PM, Shreveport Police responded to reports of shots fired near the 1800 block of Hollywood Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Remona Dukes, 36, had discharged a firearm during an argument with a family member. The altercation occurred near Ledbetter and Clanton Streets, where witnesses reported seeing Dukes brandish a black firearm and fire a single shot into the air before walking toward Hollywood Avenue.

Officers quickly located the weapon, and Dukes was arrested on charges of illegal use of a weapon. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
