SHREVEPORT, LA – In a continued effort to remove illegal firearms from city streets, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) has made two key arrests in separate incidents involving armed suspects.

Gunman Caught After Armed Pursuit
On March 20, 2025, around 6:15 p.m., SPD officers responded to reports of an armed man chasing another individual in the 2900 block of Fulton Street. Witnesses told police that two men were in pursuit, with one visibly armed.
When officers arrived, the victim was nowhere to be found, but they detained one of the alleged pursuers—40-year-old Christopher Williams.

During the investigation, officers discovered that Williams was illegally carrying a firearm. A background check confirmed that he is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms. He was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Drug Bust Leads to Firearm Seizure
Just a day earlier, on March 19, SPD’s Violent Crimes Abatement Team, alongside the Warrants Division and Shreveport Marshal’s Office, conducted an arrest operation at Town Oak South Apartments on Youree Drive.

The target—25-year-old Treamone W. Caldwell—was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
During the arrest, officers spotted illegal narcotics and a firearm in plain view. As a result, Caldwell now faces additional charges, including Illegal Carrying of a Weapon and Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Distribute.

Police Urge Public to Report Suspicious Activity
SPD remains committed to proactive enforcement and urges residents to report illegal firearm activity. Anyone with information on gun violence or suspicious behavior can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
