Shreveport, La — Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit are searching for Joan Beckett, who is wanted on an active warrant for bank fraud.
The incident occurred on November 15, 2024, at 12:09 PM, at Bonvenu Bank, located at 330 Marshall Street. A woman presented an ID with the name Angela Hunter and attempted to cash a $4,280.11 check from B & S Home Center.
The bank contacted Gary Boucher, a representative of B & S Home Center, who confirmed the check was unauthorized. The woman fled the bank when the transaction was declined.
Detectives later identified the suspect as Joan Beckett through surveillance footage and obtained a warrant for her arrest on December 30, 2024.
