SHREVEPORT, LA — Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Financial Crimes Task Force are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Timmy Bell, who is wanted on one count of forgery.
The investigation began on December 3, 2024, when a victim reported to detectives that her ex-husband, Timmy Bell, had fraudulently deposited one of her checks. According to the victim, the couple finalized their divorce in September 2024. However, on October 10, 2024, Bell allegedly deposited the check, valued at $14,844.64, at Regions Bank without her authorization.

The victim stated the signature on the back of the check was not hers. Detectives obtained video surveillance footage from Regions Bank under a search warrant, which confirmed that Bell was the person who deposited the check.
Despite multiple attempts by investigators to contact Bell, he has not cooperated with the investigation. As a result, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Anyone with information about Timmy Bell’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at (318) 673-7300. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Caddo Crime Stoppers by calling (318) 673-7373 or using the P3 Tips mobile app.
