SHREVEPORT POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE STABBING AT WELLINGTON SQUARE SENIOR APARTMENTS
SHREVEPORT, La – On Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 7:08 p.m., the Shreveport Police Department responded to a welfare concern at the Wellington Square Senior Apartments, located in the 1800 block of Jewella Avenue.
Upon arrival, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) and the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) discovered an unresponsive woman inside her apartment. The victim had a stab wound to the neck and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Caddo Parish Coroner was notified and dispatched to the location.
The SPD has classified the case as a homicide and is actively investigating the incident. Authorities are seeking assistance from the community in gathering information.
