SHREVEPORT, La. – A routine oil change escalated into gunfire Monday afternoon, leaving one man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and another behind bars.

According to Shreveport Police, officers responded to a shooting at Discount Lube on Nelson Street around 2:55 p.m. Investigators say the incident began as a verbal dispute over service costs between the victim and 25-year-old Sami Rahman.
As tensions rose, the victim attempted to leave, but Rahman allegedly returned, concealing a firearm behind his leg. Moments later, a gunshot rang out, striking the victim in the left calf. The wounded man fled to a nearby fire station for help before being transported to LSU Health.
Rahman initially fled the scene but later returned, where police arrested him without incident.
He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of 2nd Degree Aggravated Battery.
