Shreveport, La. — Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit have arrested John Swayzer in connection with a disturbing invasion of privacy incident.
On August 6, 2025, officers responded to a report from a store in the 200 block of West 84th Street. Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators allegedly shows Swayzer using his cellphone to take inappropriate photographs under a woman’s dress without her knowledge. Detectives also noted that a visible camera flash was captured on the video.
Following the investigation, Swayzer was arrested and charged with one count of video voyeurism.
The Shreveport Police Department emphasized that crimes of this nature are taken very seriously, reaffirming their commitment to protecting the safety and privacy of community members.
Authorities encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious behavior to immediately report it to law enforcement.
