Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) has announced the temporary closure of Fire Station #4, located at 2200 Milam St., for renovations. The closure takes effect Monday, February 17, with fire crews reassigned to other locations across the city to ensure continued emergency coverage.

Fire Chief Clarence Reese, Jr. assured the public that the department is taking all necessary steps to maintain response times.
“The safety of the citizens of Shreveport is our top priority,” Chief Reese said. “We are actively dispersing our crews across the city to minimize any potential delays in our response to emergencies. Our community will continue to receive the high level of service and protection they expect and deserve.”
The renovations are part of a broader effort to modernize the facility and enhance its functionality for first responders and the community. The department has reassured residents that emergency services will remain fully operational despite the temporary closure.
In case of an emergency, residents should continue to call 911.
