SHREVEPORT, La — In Shreveport, a tip provided to Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of convicted felon Jason Alan Whitehouse, 47 years-old. The tip alerted authorities that Whitehouse was unlawfully in possession of a firearm, a violation given his felony status.
Acting on this crucial information, the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crime Abatement Team (VCAT), in coordination with the SPD Warrant’s Unit, located Whitehouse. During their search, officers not only found him in possession of a handgun but also methamphetamine.
Whitehouse now faces charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The Shreveport Police Department urges residents to report any illegal firearm possession, emphasizing that community involvement is essential for improving public safety.
