Shreveport, La. – The Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has announced another arrest in connection with the August 3, 2025, homicide that claimed the life of SherPatrick Washington in the 1000 block of Dalzell Street.
Officers responding to the scene earlier this month discovered Washington deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. After extensive investigative efforts, detectives identified Dion Randle (09/22/1970) as a suspect, and he was charged with one count of principal to second-degree homicide.
As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives made contact with Lloyd Graggs (01/02/1992) on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Shreveport Police Department. Evidence items were collected, and witness statements were documented, which ultimately linked Graggs to Washington’s killing.
Graggs was placed under arrest for Second-Degree Murder around 2:30 p.m. and was booked into Shreveport City Jail.
SPD officials commended the tireless efforts of the Violent Crimes detectives and thanked the community for its assistance. Investigators continue to urge anyone with additional information regarding this case to contact the Violent Crimes Unit.
