Alexandria, La – On Friday, January 24, 2025 a Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a shooting at Academy Sporting Goods, located at 3205 South MacArthur Drive in Alexandria.
According to authorities, one suspect was transported to a local hospital by Acadian Ambulance. The Alexandria Police Department and Alexandria Fire Department responded to the scene to provide assistance.
Investigators with the Central Louisiana Critical Incident Response Team are processing the scene and gathering information.
