Shreveport, La — A recent poll conducted by Love Shreveport-Bossier of 1,080 Shreveport citizens indicates significant opposition to Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux’s proposal to install Blueline Solutions speed cameras across the city.

The results show that 896 participants (82%) would vote to remove Mayor Arceneaux from office if he proceeds with the plan to implement speed cameras citywide.

Meanwhile, only 184 respondents (17%) stated they would continue to support him if the cameras were installed outside of school zones for 24/7 speed monitoring.

The proposal has sparked debate among residents, with critics arguing it could lead to over-policing and revenue-driven enforcement, while supporters highlight potential safety benefits.
Mayor Arceneaux has not yet responded to the poll results.
