SHREVEPORT, La. – A Webster Parish man who was severely beaten outside a downtown Shreveport nightspot last month has died from his injuries, marking the city’s fifth homicide of 2025.
Christopher J. Temple, 43, was assaulted in the 400 block of Commerce Street on January 26, just before 5:40 a.m. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health, where he underwent surgery before being transferred to The Carpenter’s House Hospice. Temple succumbed to his injuries at 12:15 a.m. on February 15.
The Shreveport Police Department continues to investigate the attack. An autopsy has been ordered.
