Shreveport, LA — In the early hours of September 18, 2024, Shreveport Police officers were called to the 900 block of Drexel Street following reports of a possible burglary. The incident, reported at approximately 1:14 AM, but police soon determined it was not a burglary.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with David Corona, 47, the homeowner, who explained that he had just returned home after being at the hospital with his ill son. Once inside his residence, Corona claimed to have found his wife in a compromising situation with another man.
According to police, Corona reacted by grabbing a BB gun that was on the bed and striking the man in the head multiple times. The unidentified man declined medical treatment at the scene.
Corona was arrested by officers and charged with one count of Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. The investigation is ongoing.
