SHREVEPORT, La – On Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at approximately 7:40 PM, emergency responders from the Shreveport Police Department and the Shreveport Fire Department were dispatched to the 4200 block of Lakeshore Drive, following reports of a shooting at the Lifestyle Apartments.
Upon arrival, officers swiftly determined that a male resident had accidentally discharged a firearm, resulting in a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his foot.
The Shreveport Fire Department’s Medic 14 unit was on the scene promptly and transported the injured individual to Ochsner LSU Hospital. Medical professionals have confirmed that his injuries are non-life-threatening.
