Caddo Parish, LA – Firefighters from Caddo Fire District 4, with assistance from Caddo Fire Districts 3 and 6, responded to a structure fire in the 10000 block of Cardiff Drive at approximately 9:16 a.m. today, Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
A concerned neighbor reported the fire to 911 after noticing a home across the street engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival, a two-person crew aboard Engine 421, consisting of a Captain and a Firefighter, found a semi-detached garage fully involved in fire.
Despite limited personnel due to an ongoing emergency elsewhere, the crew acted swiftly to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to the main residence, which was connected to the garage by a breezeway.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze within 20 minutes of their arrival, minimizing damage to the home. No injuries were reported among residents or emergency personnel.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Caddo Fire District 4 commended the quick actions of the responding crews and expressed gratitude to the neighbor who promptly alerted emergency services.
