SHREVEPORT, LA – On Sunday night, August 3, 2025, at approximately 9:46 p.m., officers with the Shreveport Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the 1000 block of Dalzell Street.
When officers arrived at 1005 Dalzell Street, they discovered a Black female inside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel from the Shreveport Fire Department also responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
SPD’s Violent Crimes Unit was called in and has taken over the investigation. Detectives are actively working to gather evidence and identify any suspects.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Shreveport Police Department or submit anonymous tips to Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or through the Crime Stoppers app. Tips that lead to an arrest could qualify for a cash reward.
