Shreveport, LA – Emergency responders were called to the Caddo Parish School Board building on Friday, February 7, 2025 morning after a female was found unresponsive inside of a janitors closet.
At approximately 9:18 a.m., the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) was dispatched to the 1900 block of Midway Avenue in reference to the unresponsive female.
Upon arrival, SFD personnel determined the female was deceased. The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) and the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office were also called to the scene to begin an investigation.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of death, but initial reports suggest the woman may have been inside the janitor’s closet overnight.
Officials stress that the investigation is in its early stages, and further details will be released as they become available to the public.
Shreveport Police Cpl. Chris Bordelon stated that, at this time, there are no signs of foul play, and the death appears to be from natural causes. However, the investigation is still in its early stages.
