SHREVEPORT, La. – A federal jury has convicted Keynon Frazier, also known as “Green Eyez,” of illegal possession of firearms, U.S. Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced. The verdict was delivered after a three-day trial presided over by United States District Judge S. Maurice Hicks, Jr.

According to evidence presented in court, Shreveport police officers attempted to stop Frazier’s vehicle on April 15, 2024, in downtown Shreveport. The pursuit ended when Frazier crashed into a telephone pole and another vehicle. Officers found him alone in the vehicle and discovered two firearms—a Glock 17 and a Glock 45—on the front passenger floorboard. The Glock 45 had an expended shell casing lodged in its chamber, and a bullet-sized hole was found in the front driver’s side windshield.
A background check revealed that Frazier had prior felony convictions for aggravated battery and second-degree robbery, making it illegal for him to possess firearms or ammunition. He was taken into custody at the scene.

After two hours of deliberation, the jury found Frazier guilty. He faces up to 15 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for May 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Shreveport Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Aaron Crawford and Cheyenne Wilson prosecuted the case.
