BOSSIER CITY, La. – A beloved seafood staple at the Louisiana Boardwalk has quietly shut its doors for good. Joe’s Crab Shack, located at 635 Boardwalk Blvd, officially closed on Sunday, June 1.
“We shut the doors today right before 5pm!” said an employee Love Shreveport-Bossier spoke with.
A sign posted on the restaurant’s entrance delivered the bittersweet message:
“We are grateful for the support of our community and encourage our guests to visit us at another sister location nearby!”

The closure marks the end of years of seafood boils, waterfront views, and countless memories made with family and friends along the Red River. For many locals and visitors alike, Joe’s was more than a restaurant — it was part of the Boardwalk experience.
No details have been released yet about the reason for the closure or what may take its place.
