Shreveport, La — On March 15, 2025, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Texas Street.
Officers arrived to find a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Ochsner Health Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Minutes later, three more gunshot victims arrived at the hospital. One of those victims was taken into emergency surgery but unfortunately did not survive. The remaining two victims are expected to recover.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives launched an aggressive investigation and identified the shooter as Kentavious Taylor.
Warrants were secured for two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Taylor has now been taken into custody. Thanks to the relentless efforts of law enforcement and community assistance, he is no longer a threat to our city.
