SHREVEPORT, LA – A man was pronounced deceased at a construction site on Pines Road near West 70th Street on Saturday, February 22, 2025 after an accident.
The Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) was dispatched at 12:51 p.m. Upon arrival, emergency responders pronounced the individual deceased.
The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) was notified, and a chaplain was dispatched to the scene.
A witness on scene told Love Shreveport-Bossier Media that he heard an explosion from the site and saw a man launched at least 40 feet into the air. The witness said he ran to the site to see an horrific scene.
Shreveport police detectives are currently investigating the incident.
