Caddo Parish, La — In a special public meeting, the Caddo Parish School Board took a significant step toward selecting the district’s next superintendent.
Keith Burton, the Chief Academic Officer of Caddo Parish Public Schools, emerged as the lone finalist in the Board’s search, moving him one step closer to becoming the district’s top leader.
The decision followed an intensive review process, during which Board Members examined the applications, resumes, and video interviews of six semifinalists. These candidates were identified by McPherson & Jacobson, LLC, a search firm hired to assist in finding a suitable successor for the superintendent role.
On September 11, 2024 , Burton will face a crucial interview with the Board, which will be a key factor in determining whether he will assume the position.
The Board has set a goal of October 1 to make its final decision.
