Shreveport, La — At dawn today, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies began a concentrated patrol operation in South Shreveport, marking the start of “Operation 4 Alpha South.” Beginning at 6 a.m., deputies have been deployed to bolster security from Interstate 20 eastward to Ellerbe Road, covering areas south of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.

This operation, running through the end of the year, aims to address all types of calls—from minor alarms to major incidents—within this specific area. Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that this increased presence will not impact regular parish coverage; no deputies assigned to parish patrols will be redirected to the operation, maintaining consistent service levels for all parish residents.
Operation 4 Alpha South is set to conclude at 6 a.m. on December 31, ensuring an enhanced law enforcement presence in Shreveport’s southern sector for the holiday season.
