Blanchard, La — Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal train collision that occurred the morning of February 18, 2025 in North Caddo Parish, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.
The incident took place shortly after 10:00 a.m. on the railroad tracks near Trey Way and Paula Kay Place, just outside Blanchard, Louisiana.
Witnesses reported seeing a man walking along the tracks before stepping into the path of an oncoming train. Despite the train operator’s attempts to stop, a collision occurred, resulting in the man’s death.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
