SHREVEPORT, La — On Monday, June 10, 2024 at 11:34am the Shreveport Police Department responded to the 100 block of Miriam Lane in reference to a shooting.
While Officer were responding they were notified that a male victim had been transported from the scene in a private vehicle. Moments later Christus Highland called Shreveport Police to report a male arriving with a life threatening gunshot wound to the chest.
Shreveport Police tells Love Shreveport-Bossier Media and Louisiana Breaking News that a male caller stated he was physically assaulted by his girlfriends father during a dispute, he stated he shot the father in self defense.
Shreveport Police says that no arrest have been made at this time and that this shooting scene is still in the early stages of investigation.
