Bossier City, LA – Residents of the Lafayette Park neighborhood woke up to a startling scene early Monday morning as Bossier law enforcement officials blocked off both entrances to the subdivision, conducting an active investigation.

A local resident, who was leaving for work around 6 a.m., was stopped by a deputy at the end of their street and informed they could not leave in either direction due to the ongoing investigation.
However, after a brief radio exchange with colleagues, the officer allowed the resident to proceed with caution—warning them to avoid a pool of blood on the road.

“We’re not sure what’s happened,” the officer reportedly told the driver, indicating the uncertainty surrounding the situation.
The incident appears to have centered around an area on Summerville Lane, located near the intersection of Shed Road and Stockwell Road.
BCPD was seen at a nearby Circle K after locating what appears to be blood in the parking lot as well. One witnesses said officers asked if anyone had come through with a deceased animal in the back of a truck.

Authorities were seen questioning neighbors, asking if they had heard any disturbances overnight.
As of now, no official details have been released regarding the nature of the incident, potential victims, or suspects involved. Bossier Law Enforcement has yet to issue a formal statement. As of 6:58am the area has been cleared of deputies.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
More details will be provided as they become available.
