SHREVEPORT MAN FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE AFTER TIKTOK VIDEO GONE WRONG

On Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 4:59pm Shreveport Police and Fire Department received a call for a man that had set himself on fire in the 2600 block of Malcolm St. near Virginia Ave. in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Upon arrival SPD/SFD located a man suffering from severe burns to his body, he was immediately transported to a nearby hospital to be treated.

Shreveport Police Department says the man is now fighting for his life after burning himself while attempting to make a TikTok video.

The man has third-degree burns to his body and injuries are being considered as life-threatening.

The bathroom area of the home suffered fire damage as well.

Shreveport Police had 3 units and Shreveport Fire Department had 6 units working this scene.

The incident remains under investigation
