BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Bossier City Police Department is investigating a homicide following a fatal shooting that occurred just after midnight on Beverly Street.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of Beverly Street, where they discovered a 20-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.
She was transported to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, where she was later pronounced deceased.

Authorities have identified the suspected shooter as a 21-year-old male, who is currently in custody.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
