SHREVEPORT, La – On Friday, May 31, 2024 at around 4:38am the Shreveport Fire Department responded to reports of an 18 wheeler on fire on I-220 westbound Just past the Cross Lake Bridge.
Upon arrival, SFD located an 18 wheeler trailer fully engulfed in flames. As additional man power arrived a defensive approach was ordered for the safety of those involved.
Cleanup of debris lasted into the late evening hours, causing traffic delays all day Friday.
