SHREVEPORT, LA – On Friday, January 3, 2024, at 8:38 PM, the Shreveport Fire Department was dispatched to Willis Knighton North Emergency Room on Greenwood Road to facilitate an emergency transfer of a 13-year-old with a possible gunshot wound to the head.
The child was transported to Ochsner LSU Hospital’s Emergency Room for further treatment.
The Shreveport Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at 8:20 PM near the intersection of Hearne Avenue and Midway.

However, authorities have not confirmed if the shooting incident is related to the child’s injuries at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
